Rio AFS Shooting Head Kit

The Advanced Flight Spey Shooting Head is Rio’s latest line for the spey caster.

These heads have a long front taper that ensures the softest of presentation & a design that loads rods up easily, resulting in extremely effortless casts of prodigious distances
They are a joy to cast and incredibly easy to get the feel of. For better presentation and control Rio have re-designed these heads now with a longer front taper ensuring the softest landing.

The AFS Kit has a Floating Shooting Head, the front of which  is a subtle green colour that will not spook fish in the clearest of water, but has15 ft (4.5 m) yellow back section to aid the angler in seeing how the line fishes.

A floating Powerflex Running line (0.035"dia.) and three different density Versileaders- Floating, Intermediate (1.5ips) & Fast Sinking (5.6ips).

As the AFS heads come complete with factory welded loops on both ends you simply attach the head to the Powerflex running line (it also has factory welded loop) Loop-2-loop and adjust your fly control & depth via applying the suitable density of Versileader to the front end.

This gives you a simple but highly effective & designed kit to utilise shooting head potential for the experienced & novice alike easily.
